Joey, Leonie and Johanna

Bienvenue! Since April 2025, we — Joey, Leonie and Johanna — have been the proud owners of this beautiful campsite. We do everything we can to make your stay unforgettable: a peaceful spot beneath the trees, your first essentials from our little shop, a pizza on Wednesday and Saturday evenings, and tips for the most beautiful walks and excursions in the Lozère.

Small, green and a little different

A campsite that has been leading the way in extraordinary and sustainable camping for years, and that has been writing a new chapter since 2025.

The first PODs of the Lozère

Camping de l'Aiguebelle was the first campsite in Lozère where you could sleep in a POD: a round wooden cabin in keeping with the rules of the Parc national des Cévennes and the protected nature of the département. There are now five, ranging from small to double, and over time a cotton bell tent, tunnel tents and a caravan were added. In 2026, the sleeping cabins followed: inspired by a Dutch concept, yet modern, and unique in the region.

Green down to the details

The campsite's toilets are connected to an ecological reed filter: the wastewater is purified by the roots of the reeds and does not burden the surrounding environment. Since 2021, a pellet boiler has provided the hot water. With a recycling rate of nearly one hundred per cent for the accommodations and an ecotourism approach, we are proud of this, and with the eco-tax, you too contribute your bit towards reducing CO2.

What we value

Rest, nature and a warm welcome. Not a large holiday park, but a small campsite where you can unwind with family or friends, with the river just a hundred metres away and the finest spots in the Lozère less than an hour's drive. Outdoor activities are part of the Lozère — and part of what we offer: walking routes start directly on site, and for climbing, canoeing and canyoning we work together with local partners.

Do you recognise yourself in this? Then you'll no doubt feel right at home with us.
